Our Healing the Children Chapters work tirelessly to help children here and around the world to access the medical care they need and deserve. Our work is facilitated by nearly 1,000 medical and professional volunteers annually!
During the COVID-19 crisis, our spring and summer medical trips abroad have been cancelled or postponed. Healing the Children New Jersey decided to take the donated medical supplies they had in inventory and donate them to a local hospital in need. And so they did on March 23, 2020.
Writes Dr. Clelia BIamonti with the Overlook Foundation, "Thank you for your generous donation of 11 boxes of unsterile gloves, 150 pairs of sterile surgical gloves, 60 sterile surgical gowns, 10 protective face shields, 100 shoe covers, 50 skull caps, 150 bouffant caps, 2 containers of Clorox wipes, and 150 surgical masks to Overlook Medical Center. Without your generosity, our doctors and nurses and, by extension, their families would certainly face a greater risk of illness and possibly death."
